For those who can receive (and understand) the french channel, La Chaîne parlementaire (LCP) broadcast a documentaries and debates about China: « La Chine en clair-obscur » (China in low-key). It talks about the economic growth that the country experiences since few years, the political opening to capitalism and democracy, and the real life of Chinese who live in a grand poverty, facing directly environmental problems.
Subjects are the same as in any broadcast about China, but three of the participants (Thierry Wolton (author of « The chinese bluff), Valérie Niquet (director of the Asia center at the IFRI, Jean-Philippe Béja (redaction member of China Perspective and chinese perspectives) bring new points of view on the situation.
An other documentary will be broadcasted by the channel on June, the 16th, about wealth, luxe and poverty.
